About Victor Carter

Turtle Innovation is an innovation firm founded by Victor Carter JD. Victor is a Mi'kmaq member fo the Pictou Landing First Nation. Victor received a Joint Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Sociology from St. Francis Xavier University. Following this he received his Juris Doctor Degree from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law. Victor maintained a focus on cutting edge technologies and contemporary industry trends whilst completing his studies. 

In past years, Victor has gained much experience operating businesses and providing legal advice to a number of corporations. While working as a lawyer, Victor acquired a depth of knowledge in matters affecting Indigenous communities, their people, and their relationships with various governments. Victor has worked with First Nation leadership from every province in Canada, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.
